Reduced Segregation

Data Collection Although it is difficult to quantify the extent and severity of segregation, examining census data is one possibility. The distribution of persons by race, ethnicity, and wealth may be obtained from the census. Surveys are another technique to gather data about segregation. People may be questioned in surveys about their encounters with discrimination

Healthier Diets

Data Collection Surveys or interviews can be conducted to collect data on people’s eating habits. Observing people’s eating patterns is another technique to get information about better diets. This may be accomplished by keeping track of people’s diets over the course of a day, week, or month. Finally, records like meal diaries or food logs

Reduced Stress Levels

Data Collection Data collection to measure stress level due to lack or limited access to transportation can be challenging. Often, self-reported surveys like Inventory of Stress Symptoms for Adults (ISSL); Perceived Stress Scale (PSS); and Social Readjustment Rating Scale (SRRS) can be used to measure an individual’s stress conditions in the presence of a stressor

Increased Social Interactions

Data Collection Although it is difficult to measure the number and quality of social interactions, this can be done by using surveys that ask participants about self-reported loneliness and other risk factors.
